First ever Members’ Day – a great success!

Our first ever Members’ Day was a great success with more days already being planned for the future.

It was great to see so many of our members come to the Trust for our first ever Members’ Day in September.

Members were able to take part in the final Sarson Falconer display of the year and listened to stories that ranged from funny to tear-jerking from Dr Campbell Murn, Dr Matt Stevens and falconer, Ryan Stephens.

We were also delighted to welcome back Jimmy Robinson for the day. Jimmy worked as part of our bird team before heading to Nepal to work with vultures. It was fascinating to hear of his adventures there, from the important conservation work to the thrill of parahawking with Egyptian Vultures. Our own young Egyptian Vulture, Boe, even made an appearance, giving members the rare chance to see how she’s getting on with her training.

We had some great feedback and suggestions for future members’ events, the next of which is Members’ Night on Saturday 17 June, 2017. We’ll be welcoming back cutting-edge bird trainer Mike Simmons for this event and another Members’ Day is already planned for Saturday 2 September, 2017.

If you like the sound of this event as well as the many other benefits membership has to offer, consider becoming a member.
