Mike has been working for the Trust for over 17 years. His early career was spent as a machine engineer but he has always had a love of the outdoors and so decided to make a radical change to his life. Like many of the staff here he began his career as a work experience student, when he was studying for a National Diploma in Animal Care at Merrist Wood College, and from there became a volunteer, then part-time staff member and finally was taken on full time. He is a very experienced falconer. He says that the highlight of his years at the Trust was incubating and hatching White-back Vulture chick, Cassius.
