What to do: A Day with Birds of Prey

Guest with Tawny Eagle Guests with Harris's Hawks
Guest watches as volunteer weighs Barn Owl

Some of our visitors feel they would like to get much closer to our birds and learn more about them, and this can be achieved through our Day with Birds of Prey experience. These days are limited to small groups of six guests with two members of staff guiding them. During the day there will be the opportunity to participate with Trust staff and fly eagles, owls, kites and other birds in our care. Guests can watch our spectacular “Valley of  the Eagles” demonstration, learn about the work of the National Bird of Prey Hospital and the Trust’s conservation and research projects in the UK and overseas.

Lunch, tea or coffee, all your training and equipment are included in the price. The day ends with the presentation of a certificate to show your attendance on the day. This is not an intensive course to teach guests how to practice falconry or keep birds, but a relaxed and informative day, to learn more about birds of prey and have an intimate insight into the work of the Hawk Conservancy Trust. A Day with Birds of Prey is available as a gift voucher that is valid for 12 months, allowing the recipient to choose when they wish to attend. These days are run seven days a week. Guests must be aged 16 or over (for younger age groups please see our children’s experience sessions).

Current price: £145.00 per person.
