Weddings and Civil Ceremonies

Your wedding day is one of the greatest days of your lives, and you will want to fill it with wonderful memories of this special day. At the Hawk Conservancy Trust we aim to make sure that you will have a day to remember.

From the moment that you place your booking with us, we will give you all the help and advice that you need to arrange and enjoy your day with us. The upstairs of the Griffon Rooms, The Eyrie, makes an excellent venue in which to hold your wedding or civil ceremony. It is licensed for up to 45 people making it an wonderful location for couples looking for a smaller, more intimate venue to celebrate with close family and friends. The Eyrie also has the benefit of a balcony, which is the perfect setting for welcome drinks or wedding toasts. It also offers guests the opportunity, after the ceremony, to take time out to watch one of the Trust's flying displays, or maybe to experience the thrill of having a bird fly to the fist.

Set in 22 acres of grounds ranging from beautiful wildflower meadows to woodland locations, your photographer can find the perfect setting for your wedding photographs. We can even provide a bird of prey to provide the finishing touch to any image.

The Trust can supply a range of catering options from a simple finger buffet to a three course meal. We are also fully licensed and offer a range of drinks packages for your day. Whether you would like a quiet family celebration, an afternoon meal or an evening reception, this venue can adapt to your requirements.

In addition we can provide special events to compliment your day, including handling and flying sessions with our birds and private flying displays, as well as a range of activities to keep your younger guests entertained. The room is fully accessible, with a lift to access the upper floor, and we offer the loan of both manual and powered scooters for less mobile guests.

During the day your guests will have full access to the Trust's grounds, with over 150 birds on view and three exciting displays daily. If you are looking for unusual gifts for your bridesmaids and best man, we offer a range of hands on experiences that are available as a Gift Voucher for a special gift.

If you are looking for a venue that offers something different from the normal traditional wedding setting, we can provide a great backdrop to any wedding with a medieval theme. Falconry is long established in history, and to give a more authentic look to your themed wedding we can provide horses, hooded falcons and staff especially dressed for the occasion.
