We have built the UK’s only public Great Bustard aviary, which was officially opened on Monday 20th April 2009 by Hawk Conservancy Trustee and zoologist, Chris Packham.

Chris was promptly upstaged by one of the Great Bustards as, much to the amusement of all present, it began to display to the assembled supporters of both charities.

Ashley Smith, Chief Executive of the Hawk Conservancy Trust, said ‘We are pleased to be working with the Great Bustard Group and helping to support this worthwhile project by providing the visitor centre hosting that will enable people to experience a unique encounter with a Great Bustard!’
