Andover Health Walks used the Trust as a starting point for one of their walks, and arrived back in time to enjoy lunch in the coffee shop.

Ashley gave a talk about the Trust to Alderbury Wives club.

Test Valley Attraction weekend. All Test Valley tourist attractions offered a two-for-one deal to local residents to encourage and promote visiting local attractions.
The Avicultural Society held their annual conference in the Trust's corporate room.

Ashley, Tracey and chairman of Trustees Marion Paviour attended the Test Valley Business awards held at the Lights in Andover. The evening was hosted by South Today presenter Sally Taylor. The Trust was honoured to win the HSA Business Excellence through People award, which was presented by Chris Harrison, HSA Managing Director, who said about the Trust, "This award goes to an organization that recognises that its staff are one of its best assets, and that everyone - whatever their role - is important to the business. Staff are encouraged to take up opportunities in educational qualifications, and are fully supported by the Trustees. Everyone is included in the Trust's work from staff to volunteers, and all have been involved in the setting of the Trust's strategies for the next 5 years. The Trust is committed to the welfare and well-being of its staff. Staff also have the opportunity to travel overseas to work on the Trust's conservation projects"

100 club organizers, John & Thelma Cobbold, celebrated their wedding anniversary in the Trust's corporate room. It was an evening to remember with a magician, private flying display and hog roast supper. They asked their guests not to offer gifts, but donations to the 100 Club, which will to go towards the disabled lift that is to be fitted in the new corporate room extension.
Alsford Allsorts car club held a small rally at the Trust.

The Harris' Hawks as they hatched and grew durng the month
Three Harris' Hawks hatched between 16th and 18th April. Two of the three are being hand reared in the hospital to be used as experience days birds and the third is being reared by its parents in the aviary.

A private Owls By Moonlight was held for Cheriton & District Women's Institute.

The second Trustees meeting of the year.

Volunteer Jon Scott visited Braemore Nursing Home, Salisbury and gave a talk about the Trust.

Progress on the study centre extension
The cowslips were out all month, the meadow being a carpet of yellow. Work continued on the study centre extension. The roof tiles are now in place and the work of installing the windows and the interior fittings is under way.
