A fine, dry and sunny Easter weekend. Visitors could hunt the Easter Eagle with a radio transmitter to receive their Easter treat. Everyone could try out our new egg crushing machine, to see just how much weight an egg can take. Not only was this a fun guessing game, it helped educate visitors about the effects that insecticides like DDT have on thinning egg shells.
There was also a crafts table where children could have a go at making chicks out of felt.

Andy, with volunteer and Trust supporter Adam Rose, flew to Kimberley in South Africa to construct a vulture trap to capture vultures for ringing in October. It has been constructed now and will be used as a feeding point for the vultures throughout the year so that they become used to it. The trap will be used to catch adult vultures that will be fitted with GPS/cell phone tags to track their movements. Ashley joined the group later.
