Hospital Update - December 2008

This has probably been the quietest month of 2008. We have only seen 8 wild birds in the hospital, although our annual total has already exceeded 200; the first time for three years.

The usual mix of birds has come through our doors and these were:-

The month has ended on a very exciting note. We have received a new bird from Rome Zoo. It is an adult male King Vulture. As you will see from the photograph he is a magnificent bird. There will be more about him in the New Year.
