Projects:Biodiversity Survey

Aim: To develop a biodiversity survey method that is useable and accessible to all volunteers, members and staff

Outcomes:

  • A survey manual for use around HCT grounds and other areas of habitat where HCT is working
  • Annual and occasional reports of biodiversity survey projects

Benefits:

  • Increased knowledge of biodiversity levels at HCT and field project sites
  • Active participation by volunteer groups and students
  • Improved education and conservation activities of HCT
  • Ability to more accurately assess release sites for birds

Comments: This project is part of the Reg’s Meadow Biodiversity Project, and incorporates sub-projects such as monitoring nest box activity around the park, measuring pond life and butterfly surveys.
