This is the only shot we have of herons in the gallery. Well done for that, Carin. Just a reminder that the heron and raptor feed can be seen from the hides towards the end of every day. |

Getting a half decent shot of the Black Kites in their demonstration is a challenge for anyone. The moody sky gives an interesting background. |

And so to the 'scenic' shots. Not at its colourful best in the autumn, the chalk downland meadow nonetheless retains a special character, |

..whilst the trees around the park, like here by the flying ground |

show that Autumn in old England is still a good challenger for Fall in New England. |
