The Hawk Conservancy Trust - Calendar of Events 2010

13th February – 2010 season opening times begin: 10.00am-5.30pm seven days a week.

Sunday 14th February – Valentine’s Day Romance – 7.00pm
Enjoy a three course themed Valentine meal, with romantic sharing platters and, over a glass of pink champagne, meet one of the feathered stars of the Trust.
Tickets: £30.50 per person. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Wednesday 17th February – Fund-a-Bird supporter’s evening – 7.00pm
Exclusive evening for supporters of our Fund-a-Bird adoption box scheme.
Tickets: Fund-a-Bird Supporters only.

February to mid-April - Owls by Moonlight
Gives our guests the opportunity to see our owls really awake and at their best. Friday and Saturday evenings at 7.00pm. Numbers are strictly limited, so book early, and come along wrapped up warm, with a torch ready to step out in the dark with the owls.
Tickets: Adults £29.50/Children £16.00 and includes a light supper.
Owls by Moonlight is available to private clubs or groups, with a minimum of 20 adults on Wednesday evenings throughout the year.

Friday 2nd – Monday 5th April – Rave about Raptors Weekend! – 10.00am-5.30pm
Join us to learn more about raptors, their habits and habitats! Meet our ‘Easter Eagle’. Find the Great Bustard nest and win a prize! Complete the Raptor Trail and win a prize!

Thursday 15th April – Fund-a-Bird supporter’s evening – 6.30pm

Thursday 29th April – Wildlife Art Workshop with artist and falconer Paul Betchley – 10.00am-4.00pm
A practical workshop in pencil drawing that is suitable for all abilities – beginners or advanced. Meet and draw some of the birds of prey at the Hawk Conservancy Trust.
Tickets: £60.00 Artist materials included. Buffet lunch, tea & coffee provided.

Saturday 1st – Monday 3rd May – Conservation Weekend – 10.00am-5.30pm
Discover facts about some of the conservation projects undertaken by the Trust, in the UK and overseas.

Saturday 4th September – International Vulture Awareness Day
An international event to call attention to the plight of vultures, that last year saw over 150 zoos and conservation groups from 32 countries taking part.
