Terms and Conditions

Admissions

  1. Vouchers and tickets are non-refundable and no change will be given and cannot be resold.
  2. Once a specific date is booked, they are non-transferable.
  3. Children under the age of 16 must be supervised and accompanied by an adult.
  4. Dogs are not permitted except for assistance dogs.  If you would like to visit with an assistance dog, please call in advance so that we can arrange for a member of our team to meet you on your arrival to advise how to make the most of your day while keeping our birds comfortable.
  5. Smoking is not permitted within our grounds and vaping is not permitted in our arenas.
  6. The management reserve the right to refuse entry.
  7. The management accepts no responsibility in respect of any loss or injury sustained by any visitor howsoever arising.
  8. Please note that one valid child Blue Peter Badge Holder will be admitted free of charge with each full paying adult and must present their ID card on arrival.
  9. Hawk Conservancy Trust reserves the right to close to the public, withdraw any attraction, alter times, prices, events and services without notice.
  10. Large groups are advised to contact the main office (01264 773850) in advance of their visit.
  11. By using this site to buy tickets, you agree that they are for the personal use of you and your party only, and you will not attempt to resell them in any way.
  12. We reserve the right to cancel ticket bookings which we reasonably suspect to have been made fraudulently.
  13. There is CCTV in operation around the grounds at the Hawk Conservancy Trust.
  14. The right to admission is reserved by the Hawk Conservancy Trust, who may take health and safety, environmental and security concerns into account, and may carry out security searches. We are unable to offer you a refund if you are refused entry to or ejected on account of declining to be searched, abusive, threatening, drunken, or other antisocial behaviour (including smoking in no smoking areas), carrying offensive weapons or illegal substances, or making unauthorised audio, video or photographic recordings.

Special Offer Admission Vouchers and Promotions

  1. Only one voucher or special offer can be used in any one transaction.
  2. Half price admission vouchers are valid only for a one adult and one child admission voucher, and a two adult admission voucher.
  3. Half price admission vouchers sold in October 2023 are only valid to use between Saturday 21 October 2023 and Friday 22 March 2024 (inclusive), excluding Sunday 10 March 2024. If admission vouchers are not used within this period, no refund will be given and admission vouchers cannot be exchanged or extended under any circumstances. They cannot be used for gift vouchers, season tickets, annual membership, family tickets, experiences, galas, special events and/or shows and group bookings or in conjunction with any other offer.
  4. Special offer vouchers only available to purchase online until midnight on Tuesday 17 October 2023.
  5. Please note that every year we close in order to undertake vital maintenance and development projects. The dates that we will be closed for this work will be Monday 13 November – Friday 1 December 2023 and Wednesday 3 January – Friday 9 February 2024. We are also closed 21, 22, 25 and 26 December 2023.
  6. Not valid for use with any other promotion i.e. Blue Peter or Tesco vouchers.
  7. Voucher to be given at point of purchase.
  8. Photocopies will not be accepted.
  9. Not for resale. Voucher value £0.0001.
  10. Special offer admission vouchers are only available to purchase for limited times. The Hawk Conservancy Trust reserve the right to withdraw special offers and promotions at any time without notice.

Events, Experiences, Courses and Workshops

  1. Vouchers and tickets are non-refundable and no change will be given. Once a specific date is booked, they are non-transferable.
  2. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
  3. The Trust reserves the right to vary the content and format of any event, experience, course or workshop, without notice, if necessary.
  4. For events, experiences, courses or workshops that include refreshments, we are able to cater for special dietary requirements; however, these must be pre-booked. Please let us know, at least 14 days in advance, of any special requirements for example vegetarian, gluten-free, diabetic or any other food intolerances.  Please telephone 01264 773850 or email: info@hawkconservancy.org.
  5. We require a minimum number of bookings to run an event, experience, course or workshop.
  6. Experiences, courses, workshops and events will take place during all weathers, unless it is deemed unsafe to proceed by the Hawk Conservancy Trust. If an experience, course, workshop or event is cancelled by the Hawk Conservancy Trust due to safety issues or because of low numbers, you will be offered an alternative date; if there is no alternative date, the value of your ticket can be exchanged for a different activity provided by the Trust. We will endeavour to contact all the guests on any activity that we cancel.

Gift Cards

  1. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Once the card has expired, any related monies are forfeited.
  2. Gift cards can be redeemed in the Trust shop, Feathers Restaurant and to book day, experience and event tickets.
  3. Gift cards cannot be redeemed online.
  4. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase vouchers.
  5. If you would like to use your gift card as part of full-payment toward booking an experience or event at the Hawk Conservancy Trust, we strongly advise you book straight away as sessions get booked very quickly and weekend days are particularly popular.  Inevitably, if you book closer to the end of your voucher validity, there will be fewer places available on experiences and events.

Tesco Vouchers

  1. Tesco vouchers can be used to purchase individual adult, senior, child and student day admission tickets only. They cannot be used for gift vouchers, season tickets, annual membership, family tickets, experiences, galas, special events and/or shows and group bookings or in conjunction with any other offer.
  2. We require all Tesco Clubcard voucher holders to exchange their vouchers for the value of our admission price, including 10% donation.
  3. You cannot pre-book to use your exchanged Tesco Clubcard vouchers at the Hawk Conservancy Trust. Simply bring them with you when you visit.
  4. Tesco vouchers cannot be used to buy souvenir brochures, items from gift shops or in food outlets or shops.

Competitions, raffles and prize draws

  1. The judge’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  2. The prizes exclude:
    • Any form of insurance.
    • Any accommodation.
    • Travel to and from the Hawk Conservancy Trust
    • Any personal expenses and spending money
    • Any additional events or experiences at the Trust
    • Items from the gift shop or catering outlets.
  3. There is no cash alternative for any of the prizes and the prizes are non-transferable.
  4. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Hawk Conservancy Trust reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.
  5. No responsibility will be accepted by the Hawk Conservancy Trust for loss of entries through technical fault, transmission delays or incomplete, illegible or other damaged entries.  Proof of entry is not automatically proof of receipt.
  6. Only one entry per person will be accepted to each competition or prize draw (multiple entries are permitted for raffles).
  7. Entrants must be aged 18 and over.
  8. Unless otherwise stated, multiple entries are permitted.
  9. Employees (including contractors, freelancers and agencies) and their family members (a spouse, partner, close blood relation or spouse of a close blood relation) of the Hawk Conservancy Trust and their immediate family members are not permitted to take part.
  10. If the prize is not claimed or we are unable to contact the winner within seven days of being drawn, another winner will be drawn at random.
  11. All prizes are subject to availability.

Photographic Competition

  1. You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright for all images entered.
  2. By entering your images into the competition, you give the Hawk Conservancy Trust a non-exclusive licence to reproduce the images for any purpose including, but not limited to, the following purposes: judging the competition, display of winning entries held at the Trust, inclusion into the BIAZA photographic competition, inclusion within Trust marketing and promotional material and for use in Trust merchandise. The Trust reserves the right to display, reproduce and publish in any media any entry, without payment, for the sole purpose of the Trust and its promotion and publicity. Should the Trust use any image for promotional or other purposes every effort will be made to give credit to the photographer (where possible).
  3. There will be no cash alternative to the announced prizes; the judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into by the judges. Winners will be announced in the spring of the year following the competition.
  4. Images should not include copyright details on them. If and when your images are used by the Trust, we will make our best efforts to include this information alongside your image.
  5. In order to submit your photos to the competition, you must seek permission from anyone featured in photos entered unless they are a Hawk Conservancy Trust member of staff who is at work at the time the photo was taken. The Hawk Conservancy Trust accepts no responsibility for publishing images of people who have not given their permission to be included within a published and shared image.
  6. All entries must be taken during the year of the competition, and must feature only birds of prey taken at the Hawk Conservancy Trust (or at other locations where Trust birds are displayed by Trust staff), wild birds of prey taken in their natural setting, or animals, insects, wildlife, plants and/or fungi found at the Trust’s visitor centre, or the sculptures featured there.
  7. Images that show birds of prey eating or catching prey and that, in the opinion of the Trust or its representatives, could cause offence will be removed from the competition. No correspondence will be entered into.
  8. An entry of no more than 12 images per photographer may be submitted during each month from the commencement of the competition until its closing date. Images submitted for the competition during a calendar month should be sent together in a single batch, covered by a single entry form.
  9. Images should be at a size of at least 2000 pixels on the longest edge.
  10. Any image that, in the opinion of the Trust or its representatives, is deemed inappropriate will be removed from the competition. No correspondence will be entered into.
  11. The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers.
  12. In order to enter the competition the entrant must pay a one off fee of £7.50. This allows the entrant to enter up to 12 images per month. If an entrant wishes to enter more than this, they will need to pay for an additional entry fee.

  14. The photographic competition is not open to members of the Hawk Conservancy Trust staff and their immediate family.
  15. Images which could be eligible for more than one category can only be entered once and in one category only.
  16. The Hawk Conservancy Trust reserves the right to withdraw any images that could be deemed offensive or inappropriate.

Membership and Supporters

  1. Current membership and supporter types are available for a limited time only.
  2. Membership is only valid for the person(s) named on the membership card. It is non-transferable and any misuse will result in membership cancellation with immediate effect without compensation.
  3. The minimum term for all membership and support options is 12 months from the date purchased. The Hawk Conservancy Trust is closed during some periods of the year. Please see our opening times for full details.
  4. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  5. Membership does not allow voting rights.
  6. The Hawk Conservancy Trust reserves the right to withdraw or vary any of the aspects of the membership scheme at any time.
  7. The Hawk Conservancy Trust reserves the right to ask Members to leave the Trust at any time.
  8. Membership does not grant free admission to events.

Photography and filming

  1. The Hawk Conservancy Trust location, logo and livestock are the property of the Trust and, as such, if used in photos remain the property of the Hawk Conservancy Trust.
  2. Should you wish to use photos that depict the Hawk Conservancy Trust’s location, employees, volunteers, logo or livestock to gain profit you must first seek permission from the Trust via marketing@hawkconservancy.org.
