All of the staff attended a fire training course at the Trust, and enjoyed a morning learning about fire safety and how to put out fires using extinguishers and fire blankets.

Jimmy's guess the species competition
The first Members' Night of the year. Over 300 people attended and enjoyed the normal competitions and raffle over a BBQ supper and wine. The evening displays featured new birds in training, and gave staff who do not normally commentate on demonstrations the opportunity to take the mike. The highlight of the evening was Jimmy interspersing the displays with the "guess the mammal and bird species" by guessing the improvised mating displays as acted out by the bird staff. The evening ended with Chief Scientific Officer bringing everyone up to date on the repatriating of the White Headed Vultures to Africa. Hampshire Old Timers car club visit the Trust.
8th June
Gosport Camera Club visited the Trust for a photographic session. SERA falconry club visited the Trust for a day visit.
9th June
A Corporate event was held for Office Depot.
10th June
Sam demonstrates placing a nestbox
Sam Hunt and Richard Hennessey visited a conservation day held at Laverstoke Organic Farm run by Jody and Clare Scheckter. Hundreds of children took the chance to hold an owl and learn about the Trust's Fund A Bird project.
11th June
Ashley gave an historical talk about the Trust to Shipton Bellinger WI. Lackham College students visited the Trust for a day visit.
12th June
A Corporate day was held for the Turner club.

A group of students from Sparsholt College visited the Trust for the day.
14th June
Volunteer Lou Richie paid an outreach visit to Wherwell School where she gave a talk about owls in the school's woodland area.
17th June
Ashley and Andy Hinton (Curator) attended the BIAZA Parliamentary reception held at the House of Commons. This was an opportunity for BIAZA members to meet with their MPs and to network with other agencies. Jo Tilsey from Countryfile magazine and a photographer took part in an Experience Day in order to write a feature about the Trust in a forthcoming edition of the magazine. They also talked to Campbell and Andy about the Trust's conservation projects.
19th June
The Trust's Yellow-billed Kites went down on a second clutch of eggs. When they hatched the chicks were taken to be hand-reared for demonstration. In order not to disappoint the parents, they are given a young Harris' Hawk to rear. All of the chicks are now growing quickly.
21st June
The first Fly By Night of the year due to the first two dates having been cancelled due to bad weather. Despite the high winds and rains that also happened on this night the staff and birds bravely battled through it to give the fifty guests a great night. Sam held the first of his Fund A Bird sponsors' presentations. This included a talk about the project, and a trip to the meadow to discuss raptor habitat and the placing of nest boxes. North Hampshire Raptor Club visited the Trust.
26th June
Lou Richie visited Longparish School for an outreach visit.

ITV Fixers broadcast a TV programme about young volunteers in the community. They featured Kathy and Simon, two of the Trust's volunteers, who talked about the work they do with rehabilitation of raptors. As part of the programme ITV Fixers arranged for a a webcam to be fitted into the rehabilitation aviaries so that viewers can watch the young tawny owls prior to release. When the website was launched it received over 1,000 hits on the first night.
29th June
Warminster Camera Club visited the Trust for a photographic session.
Throughout the month work continued in the hospital and the kitchen and toilets were installed. All the young chicks are now in the hospital and growing fast.
