The Trust was visited by a judge for the 'Access For All' tourism awards. Ashley gave a talk about the Trust to Wokingham Rotary club. Three Secretary Birds arrived from the National Bird of Prey centre.

Falconer Jane Robertson and volunteer Lou Richie attended Winchester Cathedral to be presented with their certificates for completing the Zoo Resource Management foundation degree. Jane also received the Jardine Lloyd Thompson award for the best overall performance on the course. Clatford Car club held a private owls By Moonlight at the Trust.

Curator Andrew Hinton and falconer Samuel Hunt attended the BIAZA bird working group meeting. Sam gave a presentation about the Trust's Fund-A-Bird nestbox scheme.

The second Members' Night of the year was held, and turned out to be a total washout! Heavy torrential rain hit the Trust, and all of the evening activities were quickly moved to sheltered areas around the Trust. Over 150 brave members battled through the evening, and the staff managed to get through most of the planned events of the evening, including the 'fastest Harris Hawk' competition and showing off some of this year's young birds. Two 'Volunteer of the Year' awards were presented. The recipients were Mike Wallis for his help in Hilary's Bird of Prey hospital and Simon Christer for help around the grounds and on experience days.

A Christening party was held in the Trust's new corporate venue, The Griffon Rooms. Around ninety people attended the event.

Wild Arena held a photographic event here at the Trust. Gift shop manageress Sonia Unicombe and Finance Manager Anya Rodgers attended the Autumn Gift Fair to look for Christmas gift ideas for the Trust shop.

Wessex Insitute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators held a private Owls by Moonlight evening at the Trust.

Curator Andrew Hinton attended the EAZA annual conference at Antwerp Zoo.

Itchen Countrysdie & Wildlife Art Group visited the Trust and spent the day drawing various birds around the Trust. On Sunday they held a small exhibition and had artists at work for visitors to watch. They have made the Trust their charity of the year and will make a donation to the Trust for any work sold.

A private Owls By Moonlight was held for Chilbolton WI
Ashley and Tracey, with Laura the Harris Hawk, attended the press launch for the 2009 Test Valley Business award. Ashley was asked to give a short presentation about what effect winning last year's 'Excellence Through Employees' award had on the Trust. The keynote speaker was inventor Trevor Bayliss.

Ashley was filmed for a documentary to be screened later in the year about the village of Weyhill and its residents. Hampshire Chambers of Commerce held a lunchtime reception in the Griffon rooms.
