Ashley and Tracey attended the annual conference of the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators in Cincinnati USA.

Ashley had been invited to present a paper on the Trust's Red Kite release programme, and a poster presentation on the Gyps Vulture restoration project. Over 150 delegates from all over the world attended.

During the day there were various presentations, workshops etc. as well as the opprtunity to visit other collections in the area.

On the final evening's award ceremony the Trust learned that the IAATE Conservation Award board had granted the Trust a donation of $2,500 toward its work with vultures. The Trust was also awarded the prize for the best paper and best poster, the first time they have been both won by the same organisation, which was a wonderful award to win as it was voted on by the delegates at the conference..

Still slightly jet-lagged from his return flight from the States Ashley gave a talk to the Turners Club in Stockbridge about the history of the Trust.

Gary and Andy drove to Lancashire to deliver birds to Muncaster Castle and to visit Blackpool Zoo.

The first meeting was held to plan this year's Dreamnight event for local disadvantaged children.

Andover Scout group paid an evening visit for an environmental session at the Trust to learn about habitats and food chains.

Ashley and Jimmy visited Paradise Park to give them advice on their bird displays.

Jane Robertson attended an ANCMZA (Advanced National Certificate for the Management of Zoo Animals) industrial liaison meeting at Marwell Zoo.

Simon Baxter from the BBC1 "One Show" visited the Trust to film a piece about how birds' feathers are designed to help with silent flight. The show was aired in April.

The International Owl Society held its annual meeting at the Trust; Campbell gave a talk about the Trust's conservation and research projects.

Gale and Tracey attended the Andover Expo at the The Lights theatre, to promote the Trust's corporate facilities.

Ashley & Andy visited the International Bird of Prey centre to return two secretary birds that the Trust has been caring for.

Chris Packham attended the Trust for a photo session.

Henge Consultancy hired the Griffon Rooms for the launch of their meditation and relaxation classes, which ran at the Trust for the next 8 evenings.
22nd Mar
T4 cameras held a promotional event at the Trust. The Griffon Rooms were used for displays of their camera equipment and over 200 invited guests attended the Trust, in addition to the normal Sunday visitors.
