Kim gave a talk about the work of the Hospital in the Griffon Rooms.

Oliver Tomlinson, a student from Reading University, visited to take pictures of a falcon being hooded for an article

The first day of the main opening season, and the first of our Spring Owls By Moonlight evenings. There is a new format to the evenings with a new menu, and seating now arranged in the Griffon Rooms. A short presentation was also given about the work the Trust carries out with owls, and the new format seemed to go down well with everyone.

A Valentine's dinner was held in a romantically decorated Duffy's Coffee Shop. Couples were treated to a glass of pink champagne before meeting and having a photo taken with one of the feathered stars of the Trust, then settled down to a themed three course meal.

The Trust recieved the donation of a Berlingo van from one of its supporters.

Ashley travelled to Express FM  in Portsmouth to give a radio interview about the work of the Trust. Local girl Julianne, a volunteer at the Trust and Ashley' driver for the day, was also asked to take part in the interview.

Sam held a presentation evening about Fund-A-Bird for new supporters of the scheme.
18th
Feb
Trust office staff received training on the new computer system which will cover all of the admissions, bookings and membership databases at the Trust.

Lecturers from Sparsholt College attended a team building session at the Trust.

19th Feb
Ashley gave a talk about the work of the Trust to the Friends of Marwell Wildlife at their education centre.

Campbell attended the BIAZA Conservation & Animal Management Committee meeting in London.

21st Feb
Volunteer Jon Scott attended the Portsmouth Mad Hatter's tea party for terminally ill children, with an owl.

Ashley gave a talk on the work of the Trust to the Sunshine Over 60's Club in Porton

A representative from Hampshire Registars' Department visited the Trust for a final inspection in relation to the Trust's wedding licence application. The venue has been approved, and the Trust is now licensed to hold civil weddings for up to 45 people.

Education Officer, Lou Ritchie, attended the "Learning outside the classroom" Quality badge training day.

Feb
Chris Ewington, from Spire FM, visited the Trust as part of his Apprentice Day radio series.

The first of monthly staff breakfast meetings took place.

28th

Suzuki club visited the Trust.
Poles have been erected for new aviaries The new bird feeding station Paul working on his murals

Although it was a busy half term week, work still continued around the grounds. New poles have been put in position for new aviaries, and the bird feeeding station has been moved to a better vantage point.

Falconer Paul has been busy putting his artisitic skills to good use by producing a mural of raptors to go along the new beam in the Griffon Rooms.
