This day is brought to you by the Hawk Conservancy Trust and the Great Bustard Group to give you the chance to get really close to some very special species of birds.
Your morning will include handling and flying a range of birds of prey species that are to be found at the Trust, and may include: kites, owls, hawks and vultures. After lunch, you will enjoy privileged access to the UK’s only Great Bustard aviary at the Trust, followed by a visit to Salisbury Plain where you will, with a guide from the Great Bustard Group, visit the project release site. The chance for both professional and the enthusiastic
amateur cameramen to get close up shots of a variety of raptor
species including: owls, eagles, hawks, falcons, and vultures.
Set in a variety of locations at the Trust including Reg's wildflower
meadow, there is the opportunity for both posed portrait shots
and flying shots. These dates will take place on specific dates
during the season and are limited to a maximum of 10 people (aged

guests the opportunity to get close to and learn more about
Birds of Prey, and enjoy being in their company. The day

Owls have always been one of the most popular
and well loved of all the Bird of Prey species, and this course
allows guests the opportunity to get close to and fly some of
these beautiful creatures.
There will be the opportunity to fly several
species of owl from both Britain and around the world during
your session, as well as a short guided tour around some of
our aviary based species to talk about the conservation work
carried out by the Trust. Guests must be aged 16 and over. £67.50 -

Since the launch of the Harry Potter books,
owls have become one of the most popular and well loved of all
the Bird of Prey species, and this course allows children the
opportunity to get close to and fly some of these beautiful
creatures.
This course allows children the chance to get
close to and fly different species of owls from around the world.
There is also the opportunity to improve their owl identification
techniques by sight and sound, and learn about owls eating habits
from dissecting an owl pellet. Limited to
children aged 6-11 years old.

Accompanied by one of the Trust’s falconers
(and an assistant): look after a bird section at the park; learn
about the day to day care of Birds of Prey. Look at the training
of young birds, and how they progress into display birds, and
assist in a bird's training programme. Try your hand at swinging
a falcon lure, and using a radio transmitter to track lost birds.
Fly a bird of prey in our flying arena, and practise your skills
as a commentator in front of an audience of your fellow experience
guests. Meet one of the Trust's Barn Owls at close quarters,
and fly this beautiful creature to the fist. Improve your bird
identification skills by sight and sound, and have a go at our
fun quiz. Limited to children

From mid-February to early April, and from
mid-September to the end of October, we hold our 'Owls by Moonlight'
evenings. An opportunity to see our owls really awake and at
their best. The evening includes a hearty supper, guided tour,
an illuminated flying display and the chance to hold an owl.
These will take place on Saturdays, and will
commence at 7.30pm in April and September, and at 7pm in February,
