The Hawk Conservancy opened to the public in 19966, and since the foundation of the Charitable Trust in 2002, its mission is the conservation of Birds of Prey both in the UK and internationally. We manage captive breeding programmes for endangered species, conduct research projects, rehabilitate injured wild birds, educate the public about raptors (especially schoolchildren) and provide specialist training courses for outside organizations.

Your membership fees will actively help fund all of the above work, as well as providing a great day out for all the family. Annual membership can be taken out at any time, and is valid for a full 12 months.

Benefits of membership:

  • Front cover of Hawk Talk - the members' triannual newsletter
Hawk Talk - the members' triannual newsletter
Unlimited visits to the Hawk Conservancy Trust during its open season.
  • 3 members' newsletters (Hawktalk) a year, full of information and news about the Trust and its work, as well as details of forthcoming special events.
  • 2 members only evenings, held at the Trust, with guest speakers and special flying demonstrations.
  • 3 members' working days held during the closed season, where you are invited to help with some of the vital maintenance work around the grounds.
  • Priority invitations to special events.
  • Annual report on the Conservation, Education, Rehabilitation and Research projects carried out by the Trust.

Some people become members purely as a means of keeping in touch with The Hawk Conservancy Trust if they live too far away to be frequent visitors. In fact some members hardly ever visit us but still feel able to be closely involved through the regular newsletters they receive.

Current membership rates are

  • Adult:   £40 (£32)
  • Couple: £78 (£64)
  • Child:    £15 (£7.50)
  • Family: (2 adults /2 children) £100 (£88)
  • Additional children with a family membership £10 (£5) each

Please note that if you become a member during a day visit to the Trust the reduced rates in brackets will apply.

Child membership is available individually, but under 16s must be accompanied by an adult when visiting the Trust.

Please note that membership cards are not transferable, and entry to the Trust can only be obtained with a valid membership card.
