For the 2008 season the Hawk Conservancy Trust is again running an international photographic competition to celebrate the beauty of Birds of Prey.
Featuring 6 categories, this competition gives photographers, both amateur and professional, the chance to show off their talents.
The categories are:In order to enter the competition a one off entry fee of £5.00 must be paid to the Trust.
Closing date for the competition will be 31st December 2008. Entries received each month can be viewed by clicking on the name of the month in the table below.

Entries will be judged by a panel including TV presenter and naturalist Chris Packham, representatives of the 2008 competition sponsors "Wild Arena" Photography , wildlife artist Anthony Rhodes, our corporate sponsors, Arqiva and Festo, and Trust staff.
From each category a winner and a highly commended entry will be selected.
The category winners will receive a Photographic Day at the Trust, and a wildlife digital photography book to improve their skills. Their images will also go on display at the Trust. Highly commended entrants will receive a family ticket to the Trust.
The overall winner of the competition will be named Hawk Conservancy Photographer of the Year and will win the opportunity for themselves and a guest to attend one of the Wild Arena's Wildlife Photography workshops in the UK. Wild Arena have over 25 years of experience in providing their guests with a truly memorable day at a wide range of locations. For more information please visit their website www.wildarena.com.
All of the winning and highly commended entries will feature in the Hawk Conservancy Trust’s 2010 calendar, and those that feature a Trust bird will also be entered into the BIAZA 2009 photographic competition (where appropriate sections exist).

The entry form is available in (PDF) Portable Document Format and you will need Adobe Reader® software to view the document. If you do not already have Adobe Reader®, you can download it free of charge from Adobe®.
