Christmas is a magical time at the Hawk Conservancy Trust. We’ve got Christmas all wrapped up, with festive events running throughout the year, a wide range of gifts to suit everyone, and of course our winter team of birds are back flying everyday in our winter flying displays!
Watching our birds fly in the evening is a truly wonderful experience – even more so at the most magical time of the year! Bring the whole family along for some festive fun at an evening event this year. From mystical owl flights to feel-good carolling, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this winter! These events are extremely popular, and last year they sold out! So be sure to book as early as possible to guarantee your space!
Friday 19, Saturday 20, Sunday 21, Monday 22 December
Sing along with Christmas carols, both traditional and modern, under the night sky accompanied by band and choir. We’ll also introduce you to the magical world of owls as you witness our beautiful owls twist and turn in the night sky and skim silently over the top of your head.
Friday 16 January – Sunday 1 February 2026
Our magical Winter Woodland Lights event is back! Unlike any light show, or owl flying display, that you will have ever seen before, you’ll experience beautiful illuminations and a live owl display set in a stunning, colourful woodland.
Our wide range of unique and unusual bird of prey and owl Christmas gifts include something to suit everyone in your life. From avid bird of prey and owl lovers to nature enthusiasts of all ages, choose from stocking fillers to adoption packs, and even the chance for close encounters with our majestic birds of prey on a memorable experience.
Adopting one of our birds of prey is a perfect gift idea for all bird lovers! Whether they’re obsessed with owls, enamoured with eagles or super-fans of Secretary Birds, choose from our range of adoptions packs suited to different budgets for a fun and exciting way to support our work, learn more about our birds, and help us to continue the conservation of birds of prey.
From close encounters with beautiful owls or even a special afternoon tea surrounded by nature, choose a gift voucher that supports conservation of birds of prey. Our gift vouchers are valid for up to 12 months from date of purchase, so your loved ones have the flexibility to choose when they use their gift voucher for a whole year!
Looking for unique Christmas gift ideas that won’t cost the planet? We’ve got bird of prey and owl Christmas gifts all wrapped up for you! We’ve handily sorted a delightful range of bird of prey and owl Christmas gifts for you by price, but you can explore even more options on our online Webshop, or in our Gift Shop next time you visit!
Visiting the Hawk Conservancy Trust over the winter is a very special experience. Our grounds feel calm, and our winter birds are taking to the sky. Come and visit us this winter for different experience!
As we enter the cooler months, our team of winter birds return to flying duties in our three world-class daily flying displays. These cooler days are often quieter, so our birds often come closer! Enjoy seeing birds like Sweeney Todd the Snowy Owl glide silently overhead and maybe even get the chance to see our Golden Eagle Saxon soar over Reg’s Wildflower Meadow!
We all know one of the best things about the festive season is the food! After watching birds like Sweeney Todd the Snowy Owl take flight, warm up in Feathers Restaurant with a sumptuous Christmas Afternoon Tea, or even a delicious Christmas Lunch! Spots for these are limited, so be sure to book yours soon.
During winter, we offer our most exclusive experience. Perfect for ultimate fans of the Hawk Conservancy Trust, you’ll join us behind the scenes while we are closed to the public and spend time one-on-one with a member of our expert Bird Team and, of course, our beautiful birds of prey. As our VIPs you may meet birds that don’t fly on our other experiences, promising to be a truly memorable occasion you’ll cherish forever.
There’s still ways to support us this Christmas, even if you’re doing your Christmas shopping elsewhere! Here are some suggestions of how you can support our work as a conservation charity but, if you would like to help us in any other way, please get in touch.
We’ve setup an Amazon Wishlist with ideas of items that would really help us and the animals and birds in our care. You can purchase a gift for our birds or the team who look after them! We’d be very grateful.
With unlimited visits to the Trust for a year as well as invitations to exclusive member events, advanced notice to book some events, and our tri-annual HawkTalk magazine, this is a truly wonderful gift to yourself or others that helps support us all year round.
Donations are a vital source of funding and go directly towards the conservation, education, rehabilitation and research work that we carry out with birds of prey. As a registered charity we rely on your support and are very grateful for all donations that we receive.
