Positive Vulture News

We have now expanded our project in Pakistan to include research and conservation of the Red-headed and Egyptian Vultures, in addition to the Asian White-backed and Long-billed Vultures that we already work with.

We have partnered on this project with WWF-Pakistan for the past 12 years and this expansion is a positive and important development for vulture conservation in south Asia. Populations of all four species will now be protected by the established Vulture Safe Zone in Sindh Province in SE Pakistan.

Key research activities in the Vulture Safe Zone include monitoring vultures and their nest sites so we can understand factors affecting breeding success and also movement ecology studies to understand their foraging ranges.
