Exclusive Members' Event

Saturday 5 June, 5pm

Each year, we invite our members to an exclusive event to thank them for their continued support. Last year, we held this event virtually but, pending further lifting of government restrictions, we hope to be able to hold this on site this year. It will include:

  • Introductions to the newest members of our team, and a chance to see some of their early flights and training. We hope to introduce you to Wallace and Sam (Bald Eagles), and Arthur (our newest White-headed Vulture). We’ll also be flying some of our young birds still in training, which may include Sarabi the Lugger Falcon!
  • Overview of all our latest work in the National Bird of Prey Hospital™ with Cedric Robert
  • Updates of all our conservation and research work from the past year, with Hannah Shaw
  • An insight to our latest education work with Miriam Nicholls
  • Announcement of the overall winner of our 2020 Photographic Competition
  • Barbecue (£5 per person)

This event is FREE to attend for all members* and this year we are asking you to pre-book your place. You will need your membership number (shown on your card) to hand and there will be an option on the next page to pre-book your barbecue at the same time. We look forward to seeing you!

*Excludes off-peak members

This event is now fully booked. Please email info@hawkconservancy.org to be placed on a waiting list.

Other useful information about your evening

We would like to advise visitors that we have a natural countryside setting and sensible footwear and appropriate clothing for outdoors are recommended. Most walkways are laid paths; however you may find some natural unevenness within our grounds. This event will be held outside so please come dressed for the weather.

Did you know?
The acid in a vulture’s stomach is more acidic than acid rain. This allows vultures to ingest bacteria and even some diseases. Their ability to eat rotting carcasses makes vultures ecologically vital.
