Meet the Burrowers VIP Encounter

Have you ever wanted to get inside the wonderful world of owls?

Now you can in our brand new Meet the Burrowers VIP Encounter. We’ll invite you into the ‘burrow’ where our team of owls will fly, hover, walk and run around you. These cute and curious owls will delight as they show off their unusual burrowing behaviour, diving in and out of their tunnels. You’ll get a great view as they land and hop between you, they may even use you as a perch!

  • Sessions are 30 minutes long and take place daily at 12:30pm throughout the summer season.
  • Participants must be aged 6 and over. All children aged 6-12 must be accompanied by a full-paying adult (at least one adult per child).
  • Admission is charged in addition.
  • Please remember a face mask or covering as we will ask that you wear one when inside our experience space.


Your Experience

These novel and fun experience sessions are limited to groups of up to eight guests, with a member of our team and of course our team of cute and curious Burrowing Owls! These 30 minute sessions are available at 12:30pm every day throughout our summer season.

Bookings can be made onsite on the day of the encounter up to 12pm, dependant on availability. Participants must be aged 6 and over. All children aged 6-12 must be accompanied by a full-paying adult (at least one adult per child).

I have a gift voucher for this experience, how do I book?

Please call us on 01264 773850 (between 9am and 5pm) and have your voucher number to hand.

This experience must be pre-booked and is subject to availability. Due to the popularity of this experience, early booking is required. Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Please note your experience must be booked and fulfilled before the expiry date . Once the voucher has expired, the experience and any related monies are forfeited.

Can I bring guests?

Your guests are welcome to visit the Trust (normal admission rates apply) but only the person booked on the experience can participate in this session. We regret that additional participants are not permitted to join the experience for any reason.

What should I wear?

We would like to advise visitors that we have a natural countryside setting and sensible footwear and appropriate clothing for outdoors are recommended. Please also avoid wearing bright coloured clothing. Most walkways are laid paths; however you may find some natural unevenness within our grounds.

Do I need any special equipment?

All necessary training and equipment are supplied.

Can I take photos during my experience?

Yes! We are more than happy for you to take photographs as a memento of your day, and our staff at the experience session will be on hand to take pictures of you with the owls.

Will my experience still go ahead in bad weather?

This experience session is held under shelter and will go ahead in all conditions.
