UK Conservation Projects
Raptor Nest Box Project
The lack of suitable nest sites has been a cause of population decline for several bird of prey species in this country over the last 50 years. Whilst areas of otherwise suitable habitat may exist, without nest sites and breeding success, populations cannot be sustained and will decline.
Red Kite research
The status of the Red Kite in the UK has been improving since the early 1990s. The Trust’s local reintroduction project for Red Kites finished in 2005, and numbers of Red Kites seen in northwest Hampshire are continuing to increase.
