What to see: World of Birds of Prey - 11:45am

The World of Birds of Prey flying demonstration takes place in the Lower Flying Grounds – which represents tundra or grassland savannah,  a virtually treeless habitat full of grasses,  where birds of prey who favour this environment can hunt.

This demonstration introduces you to several birds of prey which may include species such as: Caracara, Secretary Bird, Barn Owl, Lanner Falcon, Tawny Eagle, or Kestrel, for example. You will also get the chance to meet some of our falconers.

The commentary is provided by one of our bird staff who will explain the characteristics of each bird and facilitate this entertaining show.

Just for fun, during school holidays and at weekends we also have a Runner Duck Race! Cheer for your favourite duck as it races across the course. The louder you cheer the faster they run!

After the World of Birds of Prey there is a chance to hold a British bird of prey.
